I love you, but I'll never love you again.
I miss you, but I can never see you again.
I long for you but now it's for nothing,
because what I longed for I never had.
I dream of you, the you I met, the you I loved, the you I lost,
but it never really was you.
It was a perfect love I dreamt of, a glimmer in my mind,
a snapshot frozen in a beautiful moment in time,
that I went back to when things were bad.
I never new who "you" was...until I found out who I really had.
