I have recently realized and accepted that my mother is a NP, and it has relieved a lot of anxiety, hurt feelings and unrealistic expectations now that I know there is nothing I did to make her believe terrible lies she tells everybody about me and my recently deceased father. I have always known my sister is pretty strange, jealous of me, and aloof and very unfriendly when I come to visit. The only reason I even put myself through such treatment is for her two children, my niece and nephew who I adore and want to do nice things for and be a positive influence on their lives. Recently, my NP sister has accused me of cheating with her husband. This accusation is absolutely ridiculous! She has been talking to our aunt, trying to convince her of this lie and slandering me to her. My sister will not speak to me, and I really miss and pity my niece and nephew. I speak to my aunt often, and she totally believes me and thinks also my sister may be NP. She thinks maybe she is just mentally not right, though. Anyway, I have been torn between thinking she is totally fabricating viscous lies about me and thinking somehow she actually thinks I had an affair with her husband. My aunt told me a detail yesterday about my sister's story which confirmed positively she is fabricating this slanderous story, and in fact she adds embellishments as she goes along if her audience disbelieves what she says she thought she saw. She told my aunt he and I went into their bedroom one day and locked the door. My sister and the two kids were in the living room of this less than 1000 square foot house. She says she suspected something was up, so she got a knife from the kitchen and picked the lock and looked in and I was on top of him. When my aunt suggested maybe she wasn't seeing what she thought she was seeing she said you don't understand, my husband was naked! When asked, she said I was dressed. Now my aunt is positive she is making all this up, too. And there is no reason besides she is a NP who wants people to think terrible things about me and feel sorry for her! I have decided to stay away rather than confront he for now, but I'm tempted to mess with her mind and tell her I'm pregnant with her husband's baby and watch the fireworks. I probably won't do that though, in fear of how she would react toward her kids. Freakin nut pisses me off!! I can only hope she reeps what she sows, which I believe she will. I think her kids will end up hating her for alienating me from them throughout their childhood. Hopefully they will grow up normal in spite of her poor parenting.
