Hello: This should not surprise you. I began dating a man 2 years ago who presented himself IMPECCABLY! It was not until I saw his living conditions that the illusion began to unravel. He lived in filthy, ghetto like conditions but was immaculately groomed, respectful, well spoken, outgoing, etc. Then I began to discover the pattern of lies -- a financial portfolio (not), that he was off the on-line dating site we had met through (not) while in truth he was on numerous sites including adult-friendfinder, mate1, etc. Absolutely NO insight, psychogical sophistication nor awareness of his grandiosity, self-absorption, arrogance, limited empathy, superiority (a defense of course against inferiority), etc. Would not seek help for ED and couldn't understand why I might want that. I actually learned more about him doing a background check that he EVER disclosed to me (but of course -- that would be contrary to the smoke and mirrors of his false self) -- now that we have broken up, his only defense is to discredit and devalue my profession and industry including me of practicing the pseudo-science of psychology with the motive of "bilking people out of their money." The only way I would remain in the relationship is to insist he receive professional help -- his problems are merely the result of "sin" which is normative and simply indicative of the human condition. I realize what is happening here but I would love to hear your thoughts. psycheaphrodite
