MAYBE I WON'T TELL YOU ALL MY STORY AT ONCE, I WILL LET IT OUT LITTLE BY LITTLE, IF AT ALL. PERHAPS I MIGHT LURK AND NOT EVEN POST AT ALL.

I agree> chilling indeed but unfortunately oh so true. Doesn't hurt to have this reminder though to keep us on our toes.

I agree Milo..It scares me too....like anyone else I too can get sucked into a false sense of security ....and every now and then, the reality of what can happen hits ya Shocked

....I didn't mean to "scare" anyone..but the truth is..the reality is scarey...and it's better to be cautious than be at risk. The positive thing is I spose, is that in forums like this one, we can use it to fine tune our n radars and red flag detectors. If there's ever any doubt re members online conduct etc, then just email admin and let us sort it for you guys.

Hello, Matilda, if you're still out there,

I received your chilling piece about cyberpaths and predators from a cyberfriend who found it on this forum. When I asked her where she got it from, she sent the click-on and there it and your posting were. Well, I'd like to know where you originally got it from. I just hope the person who composed it isn't a psycho because the picture that was painted by those words is just too frighteningly real. Shocked

I don't plaguerise darl. I wrote it.

There have been so many who have put themselves unwittingly in danger by exposing their addresses and identifying themselves here - that it prompted the writing of the piece.

If you've dealt with a psychopath for any length of time then it's not hard to figure out how they work or think. I wrote it - as if from my ex's point of view. (kind of an interesting excersize, if you're game enough to try it- write from your ex's point of view).

It scared the hell out of me writing it, but it scares me more the thought that a member could get in serious physical danger if they don't protect themselves in here from their own ex's or from cyber predators who may lurk in forums like this one.

The point of the excersize was to remind people that it's easy to fall into a fall sense of security online. Unfortunately you can still be retargeted by psychopaths.

If the intent of your post was to suggest I am "psycho for writing it"..then ho hum! Rolling Eyes

If the intent of your post was to congratulate me, then thankyou.

My intent was to try and see all are safe.
