Who was that man I danced with,
Who tangoed with my life
Who gave me so much grief trouble, and strife
Who was that prince charming, who was to fullfill all my dreams,
Who was that stealer of hearts, who never gave a dam
Who was this man that left me wondering who I am.
Who was this man that took away my home
Who was never there and always wanted to roam
Who was this man full of violence and hate
Who swept me off my feet and whispered I was his lifes mate
Who was this man it took me so long to get over
Who would very rarely be sober
Who was this man that turned my life upside down
Who tore out my heart, and always put me down
Who was that woman well that would be me
Who is she now? happy and and strong content and freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The same words apply to my thoughts as well. Good work expressing a reality we struggle with as to Who, Why, What of our confusion and the ability to discover our own strength, intelligence and independance. That is how this poem spoke to me. wendy d
