Just checking to see if anyone was around today. If so, pop a note and next time I'm back on, a bit later, I'll see it. Take care ....

Hi there Cookie! Good to hear from you. My Christmas was probably the best I've had in years. My oldest daughter and her family were here for 3 days, leaving Sunday. So, I had today all to myself to recuperate and clean up after my 2 year old granddaughter. I had some really good, real conversations with my daughter .... the farther away we get from the divorce, the more my kids are wanting to talk. It's great ... their Dad is down there (they're about 4 hrs. away from him) every weekend, looking for a place to move when he retires this summer. I think they're a bit weary with his ever-present self. I saw my son, whose home from Law School, last Weds., and I'll see my other daughter and her husband next weekend. It's been a good holiday season for me. Not having that "knot" in my stomach, and being divorced for 2 years and separated for 4 has made a difference. Healing comes slowly for all of us, but it does come. Take care, my friend ....
