Support Groups Online

Hello all! Fem and I talked it over and decided that we need to talk to you and remind you of the dangers of online support groups and participating in Mental Health Forums.

Unfortunately as we all well know that the internet is a haven for personality disorders. And why wouldn't it be? The very people that we have been abused by and have attempted to ruin our lives are found by the handful on the internet. And they love support groups and chat groups because that's where you are going to find vulnerable people, ripe for the picking. There can never be a sure thing anymore. If you get something going that is good, there's going to be someone to come along and try to use it to exploit and gain..

Therefore, Management wanted to remind you that you need to exercise the most extreme caution when online. And especially here where predators will lurk and try to target you.

We wanted to make some recommend some suggestions to you so that you will be armed with the knowledge of this insidious behavior, and be able to get the most out of your internet and our message forum experience.

First of all: Do not display your email and never give it out to anyone that you do not know personally over a long period of time.
If you are going to use an email use a web based email such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo. If you want a gmail invite to use this mail, email me at npdcasestudies@gmail.com and I will be glad to send you one.
Do not trust people at their word.
Never, ever, give out personal information
Remember, mental health forums attract some mentally ill people. You do not know who you are dealing with. Keep this in mind and be cautious.
Remember, predators are out there everywhere and be safe and protect yourself. Err on the side of caution at all times.
