Summer, this is quite separate from everyone (including me) suggesting what you should and should not do. Going back to the bedroom furniture, when it's gone, it's gone, but by what right does it actually belong to your son? Did it just happen to be in his bedroom, so therefore you assume it's his? Or was it actually presented to him for his birthday or something like that? If it was not actually his direct property then surely it's matrimonial property, the value of which goes into the melting pot in court. Just a thought.
