Well, here we go. I just wrote one. My first English one.
I dedicate this to victims of sexual abuse.

Maybe, there isn’t better day than today
To look back and acknowledge
It was not the little child
It was the evil with a trusting face.

Maybe, there isn’t better day than today
To look back and acknowledge,
It was not a transparent entity
In your stolen tiny body.

Maybe, there isn’t better day than today
To look back and acknowledge
It was not a feeling of torture
That you were born by default.

Maybe, there isn’t better day than today
To look back and acknowledge
That the evil did what evil does
And it wasn’t your fault.

Maybe, there isn’t better day than today
To look back and acknowledge,
That things just don’t happen for reason
But you learned and you survived.

Maybe, there isn’t better day than today
To look back and acknowledge,
That the past stole your childhood,
But it will not dictate your future.

Maybe, there isn't better day than today,
To look back and acknowledge,
But also to stand strong and receive
All the love with an open heart.
