|
|
Like most people, my story with the p* is too long and complicated to go into. Just imagine the usual 'holier than thou' web of lies, manipulation and anger and you pretty much have my story.
After he broke up with me he went to live with his parents house (they're the ones who suspected he was a p* in the first place.) Eventually they got sick of him again for a number of reasons (one of them was he tried to hit his step mother) and asked him to leave.
Neither of us had heard from him for the past few months. Until two days ago when he phoned me out of the blue. I had a new phone (same number) and he phoned from a friends phone anyway so i didn't recognise it. When i answered my heart was beating so fast. He wanted me to forward on some mail for him but considering he wanted me to do him a favour his tone was very insulting! He even said 'im sick of everyones bullshit, that's why i left!'
Honestly, i didn't know what to say, i guess a part of me thought maybe he'd have seen the error of his ways but NO, clearly this prooves he is unable to feel and reason the way 'normal' people are.
He also sent some sorry email to his parents asking for money a few days previous to when he called me. In the email he made out like he was sorry but when he spoke to me on the phone he said 'i dont wanna speak to them and they don't want to speak to me'.
Now his mother thinks that his call was a way in to 'test the water' so to speak. Im not completely ruling this out but i'd be suprised as he said to me 'i didnt want to make this call because we both know we don't want to speak to one another.'
This just goes to show with a p* it is never over, you're always wating for that pathetic 'i'm sorry' email or phone call. I believe him when he says he has no money and if it were any other person i'd want to help but i don't think i can with him. Why do i even feel responsible? The worst thing is that i know i could never have him in my life even as a friend because i know he could manipulate me all over again.

| At the beginning of my situation, I thought that I would try to reason with him and be his friend as long as he would cooperate in court. I soon realized that was IMPOSSIBLE for a P to do. NC is the ONLY way, when it's them on the other line, if you can't get your number changed, the only thing to do is HANG UP. You are exactly right about being "friends" he would be able to manipulate you again. Don't allow yourself to give in ANY at all. You are NOT responsible for his current "position."

| it is likely his contact is just testing the water- surely if he has been gone for a few months you have been returning his post to sender!!!! surely its up to him to contact the relevant people- ie banks- cc companies and friends to advise of his new address details.

yeah i'm not sure how it works but i think he was trying to set up a new account and the only proof of address he has was for our own house. Once i have sent this stuff on i will not engage in contact with him anymore. I'm just going to email him asking for his new details and thats it. I refuse to even get into pleasentries. I've been doing really well and haven't spoken to him since we broke up, which was getting on for 5 months ago. Hopefully he won't call me again.

I wouldn't do anything except change my phone number.....
You owe him nothing and he is quite capable of being a grown up and contacting the post office to do what he needs to do.
It's a trap...to either lure you back in or set you up.
