Did your P ever call you a nickname or anything endearing?
My ex used to call me his princess all of the time- I had forgotten about this until in one of my group sessions recently- my counsellor calls all of us princesses and states this is how we should expect to be treated- I couldnt figure why I was having such bad nightmares until I saw her face with his voice and then his face with her voice- very disturbing- I certainly dont want to be treated as a princess if his treatment of me is anything to go by- he also told me how much he was going to look after me etc and even how well he looked after me and protected me- this certainly was not part of our relationship- I do not treat my enemies anywhere near as badly as he treated me.

Yes - he rarely used my name - I always thought it was so he didnt
accidentally call me by OW's name .

He always called me by my name--nothing in the realm of sweet terms--but once called me a son of a female dog, when he was drunk and slamming doors and looked like he was searching for something--like another man?
"I get you, you SOB!"

Yea he called me beautiful.
He also sent me a text message every morning saying "Good morning Beautiful"
Now I wonder how many other women were getting those text messages, and being called 'beautiful' too.

Nope, no nicknames for me plus, (after the mean side came out) he acted like I was supposed to woo him.....he wanted me to do all the mushy stuff to him but nothing in return for me....that was one of the things that really made him mad at me...
...That I didn't do what he wanted especially after saying things to me like "You should have been an abortion," or "Having sex with you is like having gay sex because you want to be a man" and then would tell me I "misunderstood" what he meant. There is much more that was said that I supposedly "misunderstood" because I am "not in touch with reality" or that I "walk around on a marshmellow cloud"......

Id much rather be on a marshmellow cloud than put up with a prat like he sounds-
each and everyone of us on this site- bunch of marshmellows!!!!

He said that to me in front of my brand new baby daughter (the 1st one)...
After listening to my life story of trials and tribulations (I have a highly dysfunctional family), including the fact that my mom was messing with a 13 year old boy when she was 31 and evetually married him when he turned 18....he is only 3 years older than me.
Oh my ex was fascinated at how I overcome such a tragic beginning in life with my family and others things I'd gone through....talked about the "light" that I had in me and how I was someone to admire...said I should even write a book about it someday to help others.....
He did what many abusers do....used my most intimate and painful tragedies against me...first valued, then devalued me with the atrocious things he said.

| The exP did not call me any thing. He didn't use a pet name, a nickname nor would he call me by my name. It was VERY upsetting to me. It was like he was talking to a chair or a TV or something, not a person. He referred to me, to other people, as "ol hen". I can't tell you how many times I demanded he not call me that. He did anyway. No respect. He also called other women, including his mother, ol hen.
