Do you like your name and are you happy with it? if you could have picked your own name what would you have liked to name yourself?
I always thought I would make a good Caitlyn, or Brooke. What about you?

Ok when I was a wee girl I always wished my name was Susan...... now I don't like that name so much.....

Quite like the name Haley,,,, but kinda don't think I would suit that much!!
Need to think more about tthis one.....

My middle name is Dianne and I always wanted to be called that, however, my first name was the name of my NP father's first girlfirend in 2nd grade of school, and so that was my name and what I am called. It used to be a popular name in the 30s and 40s but is pretty rare now.

My first name can be shortened, though, like Franklin could be shortened to Frank, and I would like that more than the whole thiing I think, but as long as you call me for dinner, I don't care what you call me. Laughing

I notice today that many children are being given "Surnames" as Christian names. Met a really cute 2 year old the other day whose name was "Grayson" and my husband's first great grandchld is named "Reece" which is his mother's maiden name. In addition, he has two more surnames tacked onto the front of his father's surname so he is a mouthfull of names. Laughing

In fact, my given name was originally a surname common in the 1700s. It is interesting to see how naming patterns evolved over time.

I actually did change my whole name in the divorce......My parents put 2 names together that could go to either sex for me....ironically my 2 sisters have extreemly normal and common names so I wonder if the hate from my family goes back that far.......X and I live in the same city and for MANY years now our kids were met with"Your related to that asshole" whenevert people heard their last names.......He's totally known as such here in town.......So I changed both names Laughing

I HATE MY NAME!!!! Used to get teased all the time....."Hey Robin, where's Batman!!!!" or try this one...."Do Robin's REALLY have red breasts???" So needless to say I have always wanted a different name. My mother wanted to name me Michelle Diane, which is a name I would be content with...REALLY love the name Michelle....but dad saw a Robin bird on the window sill after I was born and thus the name change (I could strangle him for that one!!!) Anyway, Michelle would be the name I would like....
