I know all too well the trembling thing. When I went NC, I found myself at the same time each and every day shaking uncontrollably. I finally figured out that these episodes matched with the time when he would come home. It was horrible, but I did manage to survive.

This is away off track, from the first post. Everyone is happy by the 3rd response and AWAY WE Go!!!! and I am surprised everyone is so happy about their lives, while the others suffer and cannot crack a joke--how about a special place for pages of nonsense?-- a few miles way? and on and on we go!
Iz

EDIT
I am thinkiing this is why I left the Group before!
BUT if this many people were in trouble with their thinking, it might be worth while again--
Nope!

Hi Izo!

I agree with you. Many times the topic gets off the original intent of the poster. People digress and then others add on to the derailment. Thank you for bringing this up.

After bringing up this phenomina with other managers, it was explained to me that we simply can not micro-manage the board. Doing so alienates others, as it's been explained to me.

So, from my position, if I see a SERIOUS change of subject or what turns out to be an attack or flame, then I will handle it. This thread did come back to the topic and the way I saw the direction that it took was to interject some humor, to lessen the stress in stressful situations. Humor is also healing.

There is a section "Anything Goes" that was meant as a section for ppl to go to talk about non P and N issues. I encourage all to go there and use it as it was intended.

PS. I apologize for contributing to the derailment myself. I digressed. I'm human too.

Hey Iz

I think the reason this one got off track was because there had been some hilarity going on in the "anything goes" area and it ended up here as well...... I havnt got a problem with it as long as the person who started the thread is in on the humour and is not offended by it or upset .
I also think a lot of people on here know that when things get funny it often gets me through a rough patch...I was having a rough patch and this got me through it... so its been in that sence theraputic for me..

I have more of a problem when things get nasty and people start offending one anouther.. This is when I think the Managers should be stepping in as I do know they are pretty busy....

In saying that I certainly think we should take most of the funny stuff to 'anything goes' area and I certainly apologise if anything on this thread has been offensive to you...

Take Care
Lukky

Izzo(or whatever your name is)I personally take offense to your post! Ive been on boards like this one for waaaaaay too many years and there is one VERY IMPORTANT unwritten rule with these boards and that is this....DON'T READ IF YOUR NOT INTERESTED OR IT OFFENDS YOU! If anyone on a board is offensive to YOU then YOU(who should only be controlling YOU) can by pass the post(of whole thread) This IS OUR(each and every one of us) duty and WE(each and every one of us) NEED to do this.I would agree with Lemon that this probably should have stayed on the Anything Goes section.....BUT LIFE HAS ITS OWN WAY! That being said...we here on the board are only human and we forget because we human...so things such as this are just going to pop up here or there and then another member might join in and it's off and running.....Things HAPPEN...SHIT HAPPENS...We as adults need to DEAL WITH IT Exclamation however we need to do that....But ruining it for everyone else IS NOT AN OPTION! For you or anyone else Embarassed

Hi Izobell. In my years of managing forums, it seems threads, especially the longer ones, tend to drift off topic many times. This is the normal ebb, pulse and beat of most message boards and in that way mimics normal human interaction in conversations. I'm sorry this is upsetting to you. And, if you feel that it's worth while, then why not post up a new message. Or, if you feel that this board does not meet your needs and expectations in a support group, there are others around that may be more suitable.

I am sorry for my post.

I had read about the trembling, and wanted to see if more people experienced it, with that amount of pages. I kept reading (should have stopped) and it wasn't mentioned again.

Maybe I felt cheated, but am happy there were not a lot of people with that problem.

I'll know better next time to stop reading when the topic is lost.

Cheers
Iz

Trembling?

When NH left me (married 6 months) I couldn't sleep. I was horribly sleep deprived. At one point a couple of days after the horrific D&D, I managed to fall asleep. Just as I was drifting off, I started to shake so bad that the bed was knocking against the wall. I couldn't stop.

Apparently I was in shock. A lot of people experience that. PTSD -- I've heard its part of that.

The effects of psychological terrorism are just HUGE

I didn't so much tremble, but I had anxiety attacks, nightmares, was very jumpy, was looking over my shoulder while my heart thumped and I thought it would never end. The nightmares would throw off my whole next day, over and over again.

It finally did!
