Hello. I am wondering how I get in contact with a moderator? I have a request.

You may email the moderators at windsongsharmony@gmail.com.

I am moving this to the forum testing area. Thanks!

Re: Moderator Help? - Thank You for helping

Postby goddess on Tue Sep 01, 2009 9:40 pm

This is a post to thank all those involved with the site. I posted a thank you to Dr Vaknin but I really wanted all the staff and anyone else who needs to, to read this.

I have battled the ex N for three years, he instigated unnecessary legal procedures and crippled me emotionally, psychologically, financially and every other way. I stood my ground and tried to apply everything I have learned from your site. He, as N's do showed no empathy and I had a breakdown but I survived, he was forced into a corner and has had to acquiesce. I am now in a position to heal myself - no small feat from everyone and all the knowledge you provide.

I win I win I win I win I am a survivor.

I am supported by the health care system and my place of employment and my friends are caring for me. Three years ago I needed to commence my healing and I made it through...

I will now visit the healing and recovery sections of your library and I have already had a laugh at myself this morning.

I win I win I win I win - I just had to say it again because I know you will be cheering for me and you will have another win for you and all the people you help. I am crying now but it is with relief and I know I can write to you and you will understand and know my pain and I will not be alone as I stand in my new life and look ahead with peace and hope in my heart.

Knoxy - is is possible to have yourself or another moderator help me through my healing? I have counselling organised and I am willing to engage fully with the professionals when the appointments are made, I also have access to a counsellor at my employment who will expect me to make contact once a week, however....

...no surprise that the N damage is accompanied by all the childhood stuff and I know my journey will be long and I am open to expect a variety of 'whatever' may happen. I also have no family, I have raised myself since 17/18 years of age and I have learned the lesson that people always choose their family - and I accept that. So, in essence, when the day is done and even my most supportive and loving friends go home to their families I am alone and vulnerable.

Your website is the one connection I can make at any time of the day or night and I know someone will read my words - the words of a human who needs to know another human is there. I don't know what to expect but I have already opened myself to the first step of healing - willingness - learned through reading articles from your vast library of knowledge and information.

The N is still expecting a payout from me from our jointly purchased property - but - after three years of his abuse and bullying and manipulating the legal system to take my home from me - I win. I am finally going to be left alone and I will pay him when I am able. I have recently finished my teacher training and now I can breathe and I know a full time position will come up soon - see - I already have hope.

It will be good for me to learn to accept help as having to stand on my own two feet and be independent all my life I really have not developed an ability to relax with people who genuinely want to care for me.

Goddess - we don't really do any counseling on here or one on one help. But what I do suggest is posting in the main NPD forum about your situation, your updates, your icky feelings. We nearly always have someone online and there is often someone here who can respond.

Keep up the great work - keep up the posts. There is a wealth of information here!

xoxo

Knoxy - thank you for responding so quickly. Last time I was communicating with a moderator I was benefiting and then the responses just stopped. I don't expect counselling - that is being arranged here at my end of things. I guess I have found so much knowledge and a sense of comfort in knowing I am not alone and that others understand, have survived and will help me surmount the N phenomena, that I need to keep connected in order to keep learning.

I will take on your suggestion. Already this morning I have had fatigue overcome me and then my spirit seems to urge me to continue on and get active. I will be kind to myself - I am learning that.

Thank You :ty: :ty: :-) :urock:

I think posting here is really the same thing. The difference is, you are in a community and you can get several points of view - and you can also help others through your own struggles.

I understand the fatigue. I hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

Knoxy - thank you. As I gain strength and confidence I will navigate the site more. At present I am drawn to the healing and recovery section.
