Hi echo and all who read this,

Thank you so much for your recent post. The two articles are super informative. I am especially happy about the excerpt from In Sheeps Clothing. It's a wonderful book. The author made sense! For so long, I was locked into a death vise with my n mother, who I felt deep compassion for because of her troubled childhood. She really milked it. I even heard my sister saying, "She must have had one bad childhood to act like that" . It was a family belief: Mom is as she is because she was badly hurt, we must all work with her compassionately and with understanding. Bah! Mom is an aggressive narcissist, that's what she is. No victim, she's left a wake of bleeding and maimed behind her.

Thank you Echo! the book really opened my eyes and I'm glad someone posted a reference to it for others who are interested.
