I am feeling very low today - my beautiful boy had the plates removed from his leg on wednesday and was doing really well. Today he slipped and I heard his leg brake again in the same place. He is in surgery now. Please say prayers for him and send him hugs.

Bruisednotbeaten,

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. My prayers and thoughts for a quicky recovery and quick healing. It is so difficult to keep an active dog when he basically is to be immobile. I have a large dog, 100lbs, who had his ACL repaired and had to be caged for three months. He was miserable.

Big hugs to you and your dog,
Legend

thanks so much legend. I just feel that nothing seems to be going right at the moment. I was so happy he was recovering and now this is a huge blow - he is such an active dog and there is now a degree of uncertainty as to whether the bone will ever heal. If it happens again he may have to have his leg amputated. I am trying so hard to cope with everything - in court again soon - and am on my own most of the time. My friends do not live within dropping in distance and today things just seem very bleak. My other boy is already pining for him - it difficult sometimes to see beyond the moment into a better future.

I am so sorry to hear about your puppy dog. I hope he is out of surgery and recovering?

Give him big hugs from me!
