Hello - I've done quite a lot reading on the subject of psychopaths since realizing the common behavioral traits and determining my ex possesses, demonstrates and exudes each and every one noted.

What I'm having a hard time comprehending is which if any emotions they are capable of truly experiencing and to what extent [on average].
Or is there a known answer to this? As oftentimes I have come across conflicting views with regards to this question.

My main motive for wanting to understand [well I guess I have many] but to shed some light as to why/how psychopaths are able to be such ‘masters at manipulation’ without the true ability of experiencing or comprehending certain emotions.

It’s my understanding that the dynamics behind manipulation is through use of cause and effect. How do psychopaths seem to have such an uncanny ability to predict which words, actions, etc. will produce the desired affect from others most often on an emotional level when they themselves have an at best limited familiarity with the emotions being sought after as their desired response?

Thank you much - Any clarification or insight towards this question posed will be greatly appreciated.
