I have been attracted to abusive (usually verbally), unavailable men my whole life. Fortunately, I never married one of them, but unfortunately, I ended up not marrying anyone for that matter and this has always made me unhappy. I try to change my pattern, but somehow I still am attracted to those types and I believe that they are somehow also attracted to me. The strange thing about this is that although I made a conscious effort to be attracted to nice men, even these seemingly nice men have something really wrong with them. It's very scary, and has really made me afraid of men. What is wrong with me and what do I do about it?

Hi, there's nothing wrong with you, its their problem.
There's an awful lot of them out there I'm afraid but there are good ones to.
When you meet him you will know.
The other alternative is being happy being single, think of all the things you can do on your own you can't do with a partner.
Please dont beat yourself up about this your sound.
Do you love yourself? or are you critical of yourself?
Learning to like yourself is hard, but think of all the positives about yourself, dont dwell on the negatives.
Sorry to sound chirpy but it does help if you have a positive frame of mind.
Not always easy I know when you feel down.
Hope you have a lovely new year you never know what it has in store for you
Hugs
