At first, all you did was charm me,
If only I’d known how much you were later going to alarm me,
A classic case of allowing yourself to believe whatever you want to believe,
living for what seemed like forever under a veil of falsity,
Feeling hollow all the while,
Damn, I shoulda put you on trial,
But, I was somehow trapped,
Feeling like my feet were stuck in sap,
Slowly losing faith in every little ounce of me,
As if all my dreams had been cut off at the knee,
Only to bleed an endless stream of pee…
If only I could take back time, I would,
If only I could have a second chance, I’d know that avoiding you would be good…
I hate you more than I could ever say,
I would have loved to have blown you up in my own personal, homemade Bombay.
