Anyone's input who be a great help...

As most of anyone who has read any of my posts, I struggle sometimes financially.

This past week or so I have been trying to find a better place to live, so have been "lookng" some of them are out of my price range. So I got to thinking today about something somone suggested awhile ago to a Mom and thought I would check it out., Housesitting, I checked out the one website and realized how much they charged.

My brain starts to work and I realize that I have been posting that I live in a resort town. Then I realized that some of the places I have been looking at and wishing I could afford to live there belong to people who don't live here and they travel, taking 2 -3 hours just in traveing one way and they admit to a prospective renter that they don't come up here much. Also, how many I have talked to that are trying to rent their place and admit on the phone they don't get here much so you have to schedule an appointment to see the place.

Why can I not research it and get it together get my name out there at the beginning of the season and have an income when the summer is over? Anyone following me?

I can check on properties on my way home and in the morning and evenings. Am I thinking straight? As one poster suggested advertise on Craigslist?

Any input please pluses -minuses. I would think I would have to be bonded and I would want to be. Have to research how to do that.

I know of people that house sit, sometimes for months at a time. It works out well for them. I'm not sure about the bonding aspect.
