Right now anything by Gary Allan. I'm loving an old one of his I just discovered called Baby I Will, but its not on YouTube. So this one will do nicely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XX9awjX_zo

Check out his bandmember who usually wears a kilt!

I love this one too...another older one. He doesn't seem to do the cowboy hat thing anymore.

I love this song! This is a fan made video, so the quality isn't the greatest. But the song is a hoot!

I've picked a somewhat conservative song. If it was my mates we'd go for something with a little more distortion, a little more grunt, a little more speed. :D But we pick according to our audience, prefer to not disappoint.

But very uplifiting song IMO, Dream Theater - "Surrounded"

I just LOVE this band, just brilliant. Beautiful music. Just so stoked to be able to listen to this band.

than look it in the eye
But I will raise a shelter to the sky
and here beneath this
star tonight I'll lie
She will slowly yield the light
As I awaken from the longest night"

I so love this band.

I think I've posted about them previously here.

They are called "Against Me." They are a punk band who have mellowed out a bit, but man - one of the best live acts I've ever seen. I met them when they opened for the Foos (I was actually a huge fan before the toured with the Foos - so that worked out GREAT for me!) and the bassist, Andrew, said - "Hey - I saw you up front - great coat."

No lie. I had my red coat on. I almost peed my pants. Thanks, Andrew!!!!!! My lord, I'm such a sucker for a man with a guitar...

This is their big hit - Thrash Unreal. I imagine it would be a great song to describe an aging female N...

They are an incredible band.

Oh Echo!!! I love new converts!

They are excellent live.

Their fans LOVE them. They are very politically active - here is a good example of their fans - the song is "Baby, I'm an Anarchist." Bad sound quality, but i love the passion - they are in the middle of a crowd and the people are singing along with them... just awesome.

Baby I'm an Anarchist:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlDadez9mqI

This is a good video - it's shaky, but it shows how passionate the band is. Warren is the drummer and he's so darn happy - he smiles the entire time he's playing. A geeky thing, but very kind and personable. I met him as well. The lead singer is pretty cute, but he's not very warm, so I kind of stay away from him. You can see the bassist, Andrew, singing at the top of his lungs without a microphone. They just seem to LOVE what they do.

Stop:

Don't Lose Touch:

My little brother was at this show, which is where I learned about them.

Joy.

The opening piano in this is just past awesome. One of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard in my life time. Roll Over Bethoven, the BOSS is here!

It's long and part session and then the video starts but to me it's worth every mimute and I have watched it so much I know what is going to happen before it happens!

I shoulda known someone like you Knox would appreciate this more than usual. You and I are a lot like in that way. Music is in our blood!!!

But isn't it past awesome? I get goosepimples just hearing it. And the video is of Bruce and E street walking into the studio to make this album. And this album is very special for people who don't know..... E Street lost it's first origional member this year and he's in it, Danny Frederici (sp) . I don't know if that is Danny's opening or not, but it's one of the most awesome pieces of piano work I've ever heard. I felt that every note seep through me. GOD Boss rocks!!!!!!

I really thought it was beautiful.

There is/was a VH1 special on Bruce recently - it followed him into the studio for this past album - is that what this is from? Did you see it?

Yeppers! You can buy the CD of the album or the CD with a special DVD of the studio sessions and the Jersey Devil song Boss put out for Halloween. I got the one with the DVD of course. It's about 2 hours I'd say, they work on the songs and then they show the intended video. GAWD it's awesome!

Echo, where you able to get to you tube so you could see it? It's one of them pieces of music that just seers itself into your soul. So very moving. I really hope that you can see it!
