Summer, I did not see your Christmas wish list. Where is it?
I think you should ask your attorney about when best to submit the new evidence. I know in U.K. you cannot just produce it in court without warning. I guess it's different in U.S. even from State to State. Just be aware of this possible problem. Once again you are on at the same time, I can see you sitting at the desktop with your hair in rollers.
Take a look at 'Anything Goes' for an update on the N radar. I hope no-one takes it seriously this time. _________________ Sailor

Hi Summer, yes unfortunately I had a two day trial in 2005. In my own experience it was just like a hearing, no real difference. The only difference I noticed was that we had the whole court room to ourselves and the bailiff made the witnesses wait outside. They also put black paper over the windows to the court room so that no one could see inside. I think it was this way because of the child abuse and the confidentiality of it. Also they keep the witnesses outside so that one witness cannot hear what the other says on the stand.
And currently I do not have a court date set, though Wednesday I am filing papers trying to stop the overnights and limit the visiting hours that N currently has. I am also going to try to get the judge to order N into counseling again. A lot of things have happened with my son in the last few weeks which mimick some of the things that are happening with you. Also my son has begun to pick up Ns bad behaviors and even got suspended from school for two days and a bunch of stuff. _________________ survivor

What state do you live in? I'm in NC - 15 yr olds pretty much get to live with which parent they choose - judge usu weighs in child's decision unless there is something really evidently wrong w/ a parent. Even my attorney said this.... which will your son want to live with?
I realize I'm chiming in here late - was that already done and now there is the court battle? I'm going thru divorce (my doing) kids 15 and 17 and they pretty much stay where they want...... i'm lucky
my n is a boyfriend that just d&d me last week. _________________ Beware of people that you have to work hard to trust.
